In 1987 my book "How to Profitably Bid and Estimate Cleaning Services" was the most exhaustive work on the subject ever published.

I became obsessed with high-quality scholarship during my first journey to college. Later college journeys, changing schools and majors several times, confirmed my obsession. I refused to produce garbage.

Over hyper-caffeinated, Miami style coffee at 3 and 4 am in 1987, I researched everything available at the time about pricing cleaning and wrote my first edition.

About four years before that, I had an amazing opportunity to work with a senior executive of one of the largest janitorial companies in the world. One of his accounts was the World Trade Center, one of the largest cleaning contracts in the world.

For all who have asked when I would get off my butt and update my book

on How to Bid and Estimate Cleaning Services from 1987 when there were only 19,000 US cleaning services and the minimum wage was $3.35.
